Tailgates & Tanlines

country Love Like modern country Todays Country

Luke Bryan grew up in the very small town of Leesburg, Ga. Back home, he helped his father with his peanut and fertilizer businesses while playing sports and enjoying the great outdoors. Yet he can remember his mother urging him to belt out George Strait songs over and over while she drove him into town to shop. By age 14, his parents bought him an Alvarez guitar. By 15, his father would take him down to a nearby club, Skinner's, where he shared guitar licks and lead vocals with other local country singers. Read more about Luke Bryan on Last.fm. too damn young
luke bryan
We met down at the floating dock
She snuck out scared she might get caught
We were nervous, hmm but it was worth it
There was no such thing as consequence
With her in my arms if finally made sense
In that moonlight, I saw her tan lines

Every time our feet are dangling in the water
I can't help but think about her
Lying there with her wet hair
Didn't know what we were doing but we didn't care

That old wooden dock was warm on our backs
A t-shirt for a pillow and just like that
She kissed me like she meant forever
We were too damn young to know any better

The fog rolled in, she said I better go
She took my t-shirt and wore it home
A memory, a souvenir she could keep
So I stayed and watched that sunrise
Like it was waking up my life
To what love was, I could still see us

Every time our feet are dangling in the water
I can't help but think about her
Lying there with her wet hair
Didn't know what we were doing but we didn't care

That old wooden dock was warm on our backs
A t-shirt for a pillow and just like that
She kissed me like she meant forever
We were too damn young to know any better

Every time our feet are dangling in the water
I can't help but think about her
Lying there with her wet hair
Didn't know what we were doing but we didn't care

That old wooden dock was warm on our backs
A t-shirt for a pillow and just like that
She kissed me like she meant forever
We were too damn young to know any better
We were too damn young to know any better
